CALOUNDRA STORM: FREE GREEN WASTE DISPOSAL EXTENDED UNTIL SUNDAY

Caloundra area residents and businesses are able to dispose of green waste, generated as a result of storm damage on the weekend, for FREE.

Only at the Caloundra Resource Recovery Centre until close of business Sunday 24 January.

We’ve extended this as we appreciate it will take some people extra time to clean-up, especially those who are working.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW  – Residents need to bring identification showing proof of address, and are encouraged to plan ahead, as there may be longer than usual waits due to high demand.

Free green waste disposal for storm damage materials is only available for residents and businesses in Caloundra, Little Mountain, Moffat Beach, Currimundi and Aroona areas.

Council clean up crews and contractors are working as quickly and safely as possible alongside our emergency services since the storm hit, to remove fallen trees and debris from roadsides and parks.

COUNCIL REQUESTS  – All requests are being prioritised and actioned accordingly. We appreciate your patience and assistance as our crews continue to work on the clean-up.

REPORT DAMAGE to council property please lodge an e-request by visiting council’s website at www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au or call council on (07) 5475 7272.
