Check the weather

Moving on a rainy day sucks. It sucks a lot more if you were expecting it to be sunny. Planning and preparation goes a long way to completing a successful move. If there’s rain on the horizon, you’ll need to consider protective plastic sheets and tarps to keep things dry, rain coats, non-slip shoes and so on. Even if it’s not raining, you may still need a solution to prevent dragging dirt, mud or leaf litter through your new home. “We used drop sheets all through the house,” NSW Southern Highlands resident Emily shared of her moving experience. “They’re cheap from Bunnings, so you can really use as many as you like. With all the rain we’ve had this year, I imagine they’ll come in handy for a lot of people!”
